Are We Growing Up Too Fast?

Academic tutors are hired for preschoolers, 6-year-olds are signed up for violin lessons, and tweens carry mobile phones every day. 7 and 8 year-olds are hitting puberty, and medical experts are advising cholesterol tests for 12-year-olds. And none of this existed a few decades back, so the question is, what is causing this alarming growth? Globalization, technology, and academic pressure have come up unnervingly fast since the late 20th century, and are growing exponentially.

Is it possible that there is a connection between these developments? And if yes, how can we continue to industrialize the world we live in now without adversely affecting the youngsters the world houses? These are questions I want the youth of my community to consider when they make the decisions today’s world challenges them to make.
